Underground cozy couples gaming den with two mismatched armchairs facing a shared CRT

Gaming While Married

Marriage is already co-op. We just added controllers.Gaming While Married is where my wife takes center stage and I come along for the ride. Sometimes we're working together. Sometimes we're competing. Sometimes one of us knows exactly what we're doing while the other is wondering why we ever agreed to this. You'll find everything from retro favorites and games from our past to things neither of us has played before. The point isn't flawless gameplay or proving who's better. It's the conversations, reactions, disagreements, victories, failures and ridiculous little moments that happen when a married couple sits down and plays together.Because sometimes Player Two is your best teammate. And sometimes Player Two is sleeping on the couch.Welcome to Gaming While Married.

Door sign reads: GAMING WHILE MARRIED — BOTH SEATS TAKEN

What is on the shared screen

Co-op shelf

The latest co-op session, the long-running series and the best disaster chosen by argument all get a turn on the shared screen, two chairs at a time.

Gaming While Married keeps its own personality and its own brand marks, which get mounted on this wall when the official assets arrive.

Settle an argument for us

Mug-side mailbox

Co-op games worth two chairs, or a verdict on whose fault the last wipe was. We will read it out loud, probably at the worst possible moment.

Your email address is never sold, traded or dumped into a mailing list. We only use it so a human at QuackAttack can write back, say thanks, or ask what you meant. Handing it over is not newsletter or marketing consent, and both fields are entirely optional.

Suggestion Rules

Read before you drop one in

  1. 1.Almost anything is fair game. Console, PC, retro, modern, indie, mods, fan projects — if we can reasonably get it running, we'll consider it.
  2. 2.A suggestion isn't a guarantee. Money, availability, hardware, time, copyright issues, technical problems, or simply whether the game works for our content can affect what we play.
  3. 3.Tell us why. You don't have to write an essay, but "you two will absolutely hate each other after Level 4" is much more helpful than just a title.
  4. 4.Don't worry about whether we've played it before. Sometimes revisiting an old favorite is the whole point.
  5. 5.Please don't spam the same suggestion.
  6. 6.No purely online or friend-required games. If you're unsure, go ahead and suggest it — but we mainly focus on in-house, local, and couch multiplayer.
